I nearly fell over. I had played on a record for Jimmy and Terri and they liked it and had a new group coming out named SOLO that was going on tour so in 24 hours I left warm Los Angeles in February and flew to Freezing Minneapolis where I rehearsed and learned about being on the road for the first time. We opened for Michael Bolton in Europe for a month and then we hit America with R. Kelly, LL Cool J and Xscape. It was an introduction to Sheds(large concert venues) crowds, tour busses, and everything I ever dreamed Touring would be. \r\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\r\nI worked and worked and tried to build up my body of work and my name and here I am today still learning a lot. In 2004 I went on tour to Europe with Macy Gray, played on Stevie Wonders A Time To Love Album, played on Ashanti’s 3rd album (I also played on her first album) and went To Africa back to back with Stevie wonder and Stanley Clarke a week apart. It’s weird how life is. I have pictures of Stevie holding me as a Baby and I worked with him 30 years later than my parents did.\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\r\nIn 2001 I met super producer 7 Aurelius who is responsible for a great number of hits with artists like Ashanti, JaRule, Eve, and Jennifer Lopez. I worked with 7 for several years and we did Lionel Richie’s album Just For You(2004)  together and I co- wrote 4 songs on that one. And 7 is also the reason I met and co-wrote a song on Mariah Carey’s album Charmbracelet. “We had a Sound” together and also we have a great chemistry in the studio. \r\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\r\nAfter touring the world with Stevie wonder and doing the Live 8 concert for over a Million people in Philadelphia, I continued doing studio work with Scott Storch, Mike Elizondo and many others in Los Angeles. I got a call from a friend of mine, Terrace Martin who put me in touch with Snoop’s camp. I toured the world with Snoop and now my drum kits from those tours are on display at Hard Rock in Las Vegas and India.\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\r\nIn 2008, after Snoop I began doing more session with Dr. Dre. I started with him on and off in ’94 and did SNL with him in ’96 and ’98. Those sessions ended up with me joining the Aftermath Family and Production Team. Butch studied with renowned San Francisco symphony percussionist, Anthony Cirone and Joe Sinai. His drumset studies were under the guidance of Jim Spelman, Scott Morris, and Mike Curotto. He started making a living, playing in the nightclubs of northern California, at the age of 17. In 1980 he relocated to Southern California to study with master percussionist John Bergamo at California Institute of the Arts. His focus was World Music and percussion. Butch composed and performed with Lorretta Livingston and Dancers for the “Music Center on Tour” educational outreach program and started a long affiliation with Bella Lewitsky. He is a founding member of the ethnic, eclectic, experimental percussion duo, Damaru Percussion. He appeared in the Mike Kelly/Steve Prina/Anita Pace production of Beat of the Traps which premiered in Vienna, Austria at the very first “Wiener Fest Wochen Art Festival”. Butch has performed with Native American Shaman and other musicians in the annual spring healing ritual on Mount Tamalpais in San Francisco, with Anna Halprin. Butch recorded and toured with Mercury recording artists Lowen \u0026 Navarro from 1989 to 1992. In 1993 he met a man called “E” and toured with him in support of his second solo album called “Broken Toy Shop” on Polygram records. In 1995 E and Butch formed the band called eels and were the first band signed to the new Dreamworks record label in 1996. Their first single “Novocaine for the Soul” garnered them several video nominations for “Video of the Year” and won “Best New Artist” at the European Brit music awards in 1997. He has toured with several rock bands, percussion ensembles, and steel bands throughout the U.S. and internationally. Being in the country where the steel pan was born, raised his passion for steel pan to a whole new level. \r\nBryan currently performs Steel Pan in the New York metropolitan area and has developed a niche working corporate and private parties, weddings, and festivals. \r\nIn 2013 Bryan traveled to China to co direct the Jim Royle Drum Studio Percussion Ensemble and performed at the 9 Beats Performing Arts Center and the Beijing International School. \r\nIn 2015, Bryan traveled to Ireland to give a drum set, percussion, and steel pan clinic at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. He then booked a solo tour playing steel pan in Galway at the Roisin Dubh and Sweeneys in Dublin. This extremely talented drummer has played in some of the most renowned festivals, venues and stages in Ontario such as Nathan Phillips Square (City Hall), Harbourt Front Centre, Dundas Square, Daniel’s Spectrum Theatre, Opera House, Toronto Centre for the Arts, Glenn Gould Theatre at CBC and many more.\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\r\nRandolf has worked, performed or recorded with many acclaimed international artists such as: Grammy- Winner Producer Sergio George, Grammy-Winner recording Engineer Guillermo Mandrafina, Latin Grammy Nominee Gerald Chacon, JUNO Award Winner Quique Escamilla, Latina super stars Yahaira Plasencia and Katie Angel, Puertorican Mackie, flute virtuoso Bill McBirnie (who played with Chucho Valdes, Al Jarreau), saxophone virtuoso Sasha Boychuk (who played with Michael Bolton, Tito Puente, Pat Metheny), Brownman Ali, Award- winning Latin Jazz trio Cruzao, Santur player Sina Bathaie , virtuoso flamenco guitar player Miguel de La Bastide, Italian pianist Leonardo Barilaro, and singers Stanislas Vitort, Serge Grinkov, Nicole Lisa Craig, Alexandra Templier, Maria Rivas, Cheo Valenzuela, Roberto Lugo, Aisha Stambouli amongst many more.
